Handbags fit for a princess
Luxury Argentine handbag line Peter Kent Buenos Aires will arrive in Edmonton in March, five months after its Canadian launch in Toronto.
The rich leather handbags are already very popular in South America, says distributor Lisa Hoaken, where they’re known as a high-end luxury line. “I would describe them as classic, but each one has a funky, different edge to it,” Hoaken says. “They’re pieces that you would keep for a while.
“They’re not something that you would buy and have to replace the next year.”
According to Hoaken, the bags have a royal seal of approval, too: The Baulito, a little square purse with silver handles, is a hit with Princess Maxima of the Netherlands.
Most pieces sell for $500 to $600.
The bags arrive March 9 and will be carried exclusively in Alberta by Blu’s in Edmonton and Calgary.
